When one door closes

You have most likely heard the statement that when one door closes, another door opens. This is a reminder that new opportunities become available to us, sometimes when we least expect it. With no prior warning, you become unemployed. That door has closed, but what will the new door reveal? The fear and uncertainty that surround the loss of that job are replaced by the opportunity to pursue the type of work you have always wished for. As a result of your unemployment, you are clearer in what you want and don’t want in the work that you do. Unexpectedly a friend shares that there is an opening in their company and that you would be a perfect fit for it. You might think that something like this would never happen, but it does. It requires that you trust that the Universe is in the process of creating what you need. It also requires that you allow the Universe the time it needs to do that. Being patient is the part that tests our faith in the process and our openness to what the outcome will be. Hopefully your response to that outcome will be that it was worth the wait for what was behind the new door. What have you experienced when a new door opened?
