Where do I find the time?

You are only given 24 hours each calendar day to accomplish what you either need to do or want to do. There are days when that amount of time never seems to be enough. You feel overwhelmed by the number of tasks facing you. If only there were more hours in the day. That would be the solution to all your problems. You even consider signing up for a time management class as if there was a way to actually manage time. Some people use classes such as this to beat themselves up even further when they don't do what is on their schedule. Think about starting your day by expressing gratitude for having a fresh new day that has never been used. You are in control of how that day will evolve. Make sure your basic needs are attended to first. Then ask yourself what you need to do related to home and work tasks. Assign a reasonable amount of time to what those are. Allow yourself time for rest and relaxation throughout the day. You can't expect to accomplish much running on empty. Give yourself credit for what you did accomplish and commit to starting again tomorrow. How are you doing with living in these 24 hours and what is your self-talk around that?
