Your legacy

What do you hope to leave behind as a way of people remembering your presence here? What will people say about you when they deliver your eulogy? Will they tell stories of your love for others, your kindness towards animals, your passion for a specific cause? I think about how sad it is when people spend a lifetime here and you never hear a reference to them after their death. This was true of my father's mother. We lived in the same area so I saw her on a regular basis. She died when I was in my late 20s and yet there was very little that I knew about her. I just remember her as a quiet individual who gave birth to ten children. The best I can do on her legacy is that, if it weren't for her, I wouldn't be here today. For some people perhaps that is what they are here to do. Each of us chooses the way we will leave an impression on the planet. I would prefer that my impression be based on some good that I consciously practiced while alive. Perhaps these blogs will be part of that legacy. One never knows where the actions they choose today will lead. What is the legacy that you hope to leave?
