Your morning wake up call
When I awaken each morning, it is important for me to check in with what my first thoughts are. This will set the tone for my day. If I awaken to, "Only one more day of having to go this job I can't stand before I can enjoy myself on the weekend," then I get to experience a day filled with events that support why I can't stand my job. If I awaken to, "Here is a day that has never been used filled with unlimited opportunities," then I watch how the day unfolds with events that I never would have thought possible. Surround yourself with positive sounds and images as you prepare for the day. Be aware of the feelings you have if you turn on the TV or the radio. Do you feel joyful or depressed as you listen to these messages? Are there any changes you need to make to affect these feelings? Ask yourself, "What is the first thought I had this morning?"
