You've got this
When you feel doubt over a task you need to perform, remind yourself that you have what it takes to complete it. It may require that you seek assistance on doing so, but that is not a sign of weakness. It demonstrates your commitment to doing whatever it takes to get the job done. It reminds you of the old adages, “Two heads are better than one” and “Many hands make light work.” This is especially true when you feel like you have hit a brick wall. Rather than continuing to try without success, stop and ask yourself who you know who could help you out. Of course it always helps to reciprocate by being available when someone else is in need. Know what your strengths are and be willing to share those with others. You may excel at painting a room or figuring out what to do when a computer crashes. I recall moving into a townhouse I was renting and inviting friends to join me in a painting party. In a short time we had the project completed with a party to celebrate our accomplishment afterwards. I have offered to help friends pack their belongings in preparation for a move. One thing that is for sure is that the help is appreciated whether you are on the giving or the receiving end. No task is unmanageable knowing that you have resources to complete it. What was the last task you struggled with that you used those resources to say, “I got this”?
