Tricks of the trade

As workers became more familiar with the tasks they needed to perform on their jobs, they developed easier ways to complete them without sacrificing quality. These tasks might he accomplished in less time or with less effort. The secret for how to do this would be kept within the ranks of those specific workers and were known as the tricks of the trade. As these secrets became public they evolved into what we now refer to as tips for making life easier. What are the tricks of the trade we apply to life to reduce stress and complete what needs to be done? It often comes from lending a helping hand. While recently observing someone struggling to tie a bow on a gift, I laughingly suggested, "You look like you could use an extra finger." All it took was placing my index finger where the ribbons crossed and the bow was tied in seconds. This simple act was a trick of the trade most of us learned as children and it still works today. Perhaps there is a challenge you are facing today that would benefit from some helping hands. All you need do is ask.
